It had been several minutes since Mias' stomach had made its garish interruption, and Elle was still trying to grasp how she had let so much time slip by unnoticed while talking to Abernos for it to be dinner so soon. It seemed like less than an hour ago that she was in the garden being groped and kissed by an insatiable Mias. And now they were practically cuddling each other in the fields, they still had not made any effort to make their way back inside - they had not made any movement whatsoever. As new and strange as it was for Elle to admit, it was all very comfortable – the cool grass against her bare legs, leaning back into Mias' body, and the soothing warmth of the sun cascading around them. Had her heart not been pounding, she could have fallen asleep right there in his arms. It was rather disconcerting a realisation that she already felt comfortable – and safe- enough to let her guard down around Mias. Though she still did not, she was coming incredibly close.

"I thought you were hungry." A small smile curled on to her lips as she thought about it. Had she not heard his stomach making the desperately fiendish sounds of practically eating itself, she would have accused him of making it up to get her back inside and away from Abernos – she had little doubt that he had not seen the stag and her making nice.

Mias exhaled heavily and Elle could feel the hair at the back of her head lift with the force of the breath. It was obviously a bit of an exaggeration, trying to make his point that she was ruining everything by talking. "I am." She tried not to laugh; after all it was kind of sweet – kind of.

"Don't you want to get something to eat then?"

Mias snaked one hand slowly around her waist, then the other, and rested his chin on her shoulder, "I'm conflicted at the moment."

If the circumstances were not considered, Elle would have to admit the whole gesture was one of the sweetest that she had ever experienced. Even the fact that Mias was her kidnapper, it was still high in the top ten of most romantic moments; a contender for the number one spot, even. He certainly did know how and which strings of hers to pluck, and she should have been far more alarmed about this than she was.

"Aren't you the sweet-talker?" She laughed, trying to laugh away the heat of the embarrassment of her thoughts.

"I have my reasons," He kissed her neck softly.

"Really?" Elle tapped her fingers anxiously against her legs in an attempt to distract the erogenous nerve impulses that Mias was sending so readily to her brain. She had to let out a small, lady-like cough to rid herself of the large lump that had been starting to form in her throat.Who would have thought?

"Mm, very good ones."

Mmm, I'm sure you do… - AH!

Elle turned to look at Mias, her brow furrowed and lips turned into a frown. Mias had obviously not felt the tension in her body as his fingers walked across the fabric of her skirt, slowly pulling it upward. "Must you, Mias?"

"What?" His feigned innocence was almost funny.

"Make everything about—ugh!" She slapped away a hand sliding up toward her breast.

Laughing, Mias kissed the exposed skin around her neck again, sliding a hand down the side of her leg. "What? Sex?"

Normally he would have been more than slightly angered by her refusal and blatant disregard for how hard he was having to work at just trying to seduce her, but he had to admit that he was finding the teasing foreplay much more fun than just jumping straight in to things. Though, he was quite sure of himself that if that was the direction that he wished things to go, they would do so immediately. The corners of his face started to ache from the enormous grin that he could not contain.

A shiver rolled through her, and she tried to pull away from his tight grasp. "You're disgusting!" It did not sound very convincing, what with her uncontrollable laughter as his fingers grated over her rips when she tried to pull away.

"You really think so, my pet? Because I don't believe you." He practically sung the last bit in his amusement.

Elle gently slapped Mias' cheek and shook off the chills that she got from the heavy whisper he hissed into her ears. It was giving her goose bumps, and not in an unpleasant manner, either. "Quit it!"

After quickly shaking off the surprisingly sharp hand-to-cheek contact, Mias snaked a hand down to her knee, taking a moment to relish the feel of Elle's bare skin under his hand. The warmth of her thigh was pleasant and reassuring as he massaged up her leg at a painfully slow pace. Loose strands of her hair fluttering in the breeze tickled his face, but the heavenly scent made it worth the minor irritation. He could hear her breath growing heavy, which only encouraged his excitement and he had to try incredibly hard to contain himself – sometimes it was hard to play coy, especially with a girl like Elle.

His hand! Oh my god… She was going to have to do something – no matter how difficult it may be- before things started to get out of hand. Curious how just a week with Mias had changed her perspective on just how far "too far" was.

"Mias." She sounded a little more in control of herself, this time – but not by much.

His lips were pressed right up against her earlobe, "Mm, say it again."

"Ew, Mias!" Elle scrambled to get away, accidentally elbowing Mias in the ribs, but took advantage of his loosened grip and scooted across the grass away from him. "What is wrong with you?" But she could not contain the small chime of laughter in her voice, which made her feel even more guilty about having just struck him right in the ribs.

Mias puffed out a heavy breath to shake off the surprising, but completely harmless blow Elle had served him; he was unfazed by the hit. But he was becoming more than a little bit frustrated with the mixed emotional readings that he was constantly receiving from Elle – she was making the game less and less entertaining. He groaned, and ran his finger through his hair before staring her down.

"I could ask you the same question, pet."

"Are you serious?" She could not think of anything else to say. The question had put in a corner, unable to decide what he actually meant by such an odd thing or if he was just trying to mess with her head. Either way, the whole cat and mouse game that Mias seemed to enjoy so well was becoming increasingly mundane.

"Quite," He crawled across the grass towards her like a lion on the prowl until he had backed her down against the ground and had her pinned. "Don't you want it?"

And in the blink of an eye the game had suddenly become more exciting – at least, according to her gut, which was twisting and turning in anticipation. If her physical body was one separate from her mind, she would be shooting it some seriously threatening looks at the moment. Do I want it? Heh… - Great, now my own mind is turning against me.

"I know you do…"

Her eyes widened slightly, as a fear that Mias may actually be able to hear her thoughts washed over her, and sent her into a panic.

"Yes, but…" Did I just say YES?! Oh fuck… unf! Don't think about fucking! Damn it… "No, I mean-"

"Ah!" Mias touched a finger to her lips, "Too late."

Elle tried to pull away from under him, but his knee was pinning the dress between her legs and she was completely trapped. She wanted to hate Mias for how vile he was, but another part of her – the part that was also winning the inner conflict- was crying out for him. Besides kidnapping her and being a sex-hungry fiend, everything else that he had done with her and for her had been above and beyond anything that anyone in her life had ever done for her. Yet, she could not help but feel a twinge of fear that once Mias got what he wanted he would just dump her at the side of the road to fend for herself in a strange land that she knew next to nothing about – even if she wanted it too, just a little.

"I-I also said "but", Mias…" She coughed and turned her head so her cheek was pressed against the grass and eye contact was near impossible.

"Don't get technical on me now…" He tilted her head back to face him and kissed her.

"Mias." It was hard to look him in the eyes and stay serious. Her insides churned sharply when he smiled –almost- innocently at her.

Mias sighed and combed his hand through her hair, looking her in the eyes with far too much intensity for her liking. "Then just kiss me before we go back in for dinner."

Elle frowned; she did not want the same thing that happened last time to repeat itself, no matter how much more she was attracted to him now compared to then. Her will was even weaker now than it had been the previous times that she was extra cautious. She pulled her head up as best she could and gave him a sweet kiss at the corner of his lips, and tried not to smile.

"There, are you happy?"

It was entirely obvious by the way that Mias stared at her with a face completely lacking on expression, save for the very faintest twitch in his right eyebrow that he was not. But to Elle, it just seemed that he was trying far too hard to make her feel some kind of quilt for not giving him exactly what he wanted. Though she was not so easily fooled by this, there was a part of her yearning – or screaming, which would be the more operative word- to make that twinge of quilt disappear into a sea of satisfaction. She tried not to laugh at herself for such a ridiculous thought, but her face also turned a bright crimson at the same time. She fidgeted beneath him.

Mias grinned and stroked her cheek, willing to wait. What's on your mind, my sweet pet? He had to admit that it was incredibly exciting to even get the slightest hint that Elle's thoughts may be drifting in the exact same direction as his own. This would mean that it was only a matter of time before he would get what he wanted. This had to be the most pleased he had been with himself in quite a long time. But being one to quickly get bored, he found himself no longer interested in coaxing affection from her, but rather in doing some more digging.

"So, tell me more about how much you want it."

There was a moment of deafened silence, where not even a breath was heard before their eyes met and everything changed.

Elle was staring at Mias with an expression so disapproving and bitter that it made him think of only one person. And with that unpleasant recollection, all interests besides filling his empty belly with sustenance washed away almost instantly. He rolled away, up in to his feet, and was offering his hand to help Elle up on to her feet as well in barely more time than it took him to lose his libido. He avoided eye contact while pulling Elle up as his mind was still working at cleansing the codpiece-shrinking image from his head. It was a disturbingly impressive thing that he hoped with great intensity was merely a sickening coincidence and Elle would never look at him like that again.

"Why so silent, Lord Decivus?"

"Oh, shut up." Mias shoved Elle at the shoulder playfully, though with full intent on making her drop the subject. It was also entertaining to watch her flail her arms and squeal and she lost her balance and flop awkwardly into her rear end. "Graceful," He laughed.

Elle pulled a handful of cool grass from the earth and tossed the blades into the air in Mias' direction. They tumbled gently on the breeze and fell to the ground, only a few meagre pieces landed on his shoes, and she laughed heartily as she clamoured back onto her feet. She dusted off the back of her dress and gave Mias a shove back, though it was like trying to push over a large tree.

"You have a very elegant way of avoiding conversation, Mias." She jumped back when he lifted his hand again to feign the motion of another push, "Alright! Alright, you win."

Mias smiled and gently placed his hand on the small of her back, leading her back through the garden and into the building. "I trust you had a fulfilling day, my pet?"

"Yeah, it was a full day alright. I'm ready for bed." She bumped Mias with her shoulder and laughed at his ridiculous expression, "Don't even think about it, Mias!"

"Worth a try."

"Uh-huh," She kissed him on the cheek and rested her head against his arm. "Thanks, Mias."

Mias smiled contently, "You're welcome."
Holy crap, that took me forever!!
Really sorry about that, everyone.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Happy early Birthday, :iconstressedjenny:
